We do all we do and.......
Scent control, camo, the whole nine yards. Currently one of the bigger bucks in my area has a scrape in the yard where the kids play and the dogs poop.
There are 2 does that eat honeysuckle of the back of the fence on one of my dog pens.
I used to have a half acre apple orchard fenced in with dogs in the fence. Deer in the fence every night with the dogs. The dang dogs wouldn't even bother them. Take the same dogs in the woods and they would light out like a rocket on a day old trail. Go figure.
Sometimes you wonder but thats what makes it hunting.

I have a black lab that lays on the front porch and watches the turkeys walk by twenty feet away .They act like he isn't even there and he ignores them completely yet he runs everything else out of the yard like the deer and rabbits . You just never know how animals will act to different things .

If you went out into the woods and found a pile of deer droppings would you even think twice about it? But, if you found that same pile of droppings in your bedroom when you tried to go to bed at night what would you think then?
....I know..I know..I could have thought of a better example.

The biggest buck I saw this season jumped out of some bushes inside a cemetery, and ran across the road (in front of my truck ... I hadda hit the brakes) amongst the yards behind some houses.

This summer I was walking my dog, half boxer, half rottweiler through my woods. A BIG 8 point jumped up, guess what my dog did. He wimpered and backed away, the deer just stood there at 20 yards looking at the dog. I guess that goes to show, tuff looking does are just sissy's at heart.
Good Luck This Season: Buck Magnet
P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

Then of course there is the 8 pointer that spends the entire season in your aunts azeleas in her circular drive way that she tells you about the Sunday after the season closed! I didn't beleive her so I walked out there and up he jumped! I will not use the words I used, but I was not happy.

These are the reasons I love deer. They are worse than women. I am a lot closer to figuring out my wife of sixteen years than I am at figuring out the deer I've been hunting for 25 years.
