RE: wolf ammo ?
its fine for plinking and varmints, but clean the gun good after your done. the stuff i used in my 223 was pretty dirty. other than that it fed fine and the accuracy was decent.
I'd use top quality ammo for hunting though. thats my opinion. |
RE: wolf ammo ?
i picked up federal ammo in 123 grain for my 7.62 x 39 for hunting because i was advised to go name brand. but i saw i could get a 158 grain in wolf and that would hit a little harder.

RE: wolf ammo ?
A lot of the Wolf ammo that I have looked at is non reloadable. Using aluminum cases and berndan primers.

RE: wolf ammo ?
I've shot it in 9mm befor and had alot of cracked casings and jams.
Personally I would buy something else. |
RE: wolf ammo ?
I dont think I'd hunt with it hurley. Its okay for plinking, as long as your gun shoots it with no problems. Alot of guns, especially semi autos, wont function with Wolf. My .45acp's dont like Wolf because the rim is not designed the same as American ammunition manufacturers like Remington, and Winchester.

RE: wolf ammo ?
I never had a problem with it until this year. I bought some 7.62x39 and about a third of them fired on the first hammer drop. My barrel was also unusually dirty after shooting. Wolf usually shoots dirty, but this was ridiculous. Muzzleloaders shoot cleaner than that. I won't buy it again.

RE: wolf ammo ?
tried wolf in my .223 , had to wait for case to cool before it would eject. steel case would expand to much and swell up in chamber. I would shoot one shot ,then walk down range to check target. By the time I would return the empty had cooled enough to extract. Gave remaing supply to brother inlaw.
He dosn't clean his guns and every thing he owns is golden. So let your brother inlawshot wolf if you dont like him. |
