Button Bucks and the rut?

Do button bucks show rutting activtiy. I'm sitting here right now watching one out the window at our house and was wandering if any of you have seen them chasing or actually breeding does? I would have to think that they wouldn't but see no reason for them not to.

RE: Button Bucks and the rut?

last year when i was hunting I heard a grunt and turned around to see a button buck chasing a doe, he got on her back in attempts to breed her so my hopes of seeing a nice buck we're sort of shot...then about 45 seconds later a nice 8 came in behind her so the day turned from there...buttttt yeah, button bucks (in my experience) do show some rut activity
