Hunting Weather
Just out of curiosity, what is your guy's favorite hunting weather?
I'm here in IL, so we have two shotgun seasons. For the first season I love it to be coldbut still"fall-like", but then for the second season I think I'd have to say my favoriteis around 10-20 degrees in the morning as long as the wind isn't blowing too much, and I love to have just a skift of snow on the ground.

I'm about the same except I like it about 30 degrees with about 3 inches of snow second season. Last year I darn near got rocked out of my ladder satnd with a thunder storm and high winds second season.

RE: Hunting Weather
Temperature doesn't matter too much to me other than for comfort to sit on a stand. The most important aspect is that there would be no wind. I have always seen MORE deer on calm days than on windy days by a wide margin. A little snow can be nice also. The deer stand out a lot better in a wooded environment with a little bit of snow on the ground.

I too like a calm day, when the wind is blowing a lot the deer don't move as much because they can't smell as well. I see and kill more deer when the temp. is between 20 & 30 and the wind is below 8 mph. I took a vacation last year and it just happened to be this weather and I saw a lot of deer and killed to does back to back. Five came out I shot the biggest and the other four stood there so I shot the next one too.
