Good time for mock scrapes?

First off i want to say that i live in northeast ohio. Im leaving for Cancun on wendsday and i was wondering if its too early to put up a mock scrape? Im getting a Stealth Cam I450 tommorow, and i want to put it out while im gone and a mock scrape is perfect for bringing the bucks in. Any feedback would be great!

Set up a scrape dripper, they should be scraping about now in your area.

Well guys i bought the Stealth Cam and i set the mock scrape up on a trail the bucks were using heavy in the summer (took camera out before to not spook deer) and im letting it sit till next thursday when i get back.....ill post any pics here

Well im back...and i got a few pics. My cousin said they were scraping hard but ive only found 4 or so small scrapes, and they didnt hit mine too hard. I got a cool pic of a coyote though so it might have spooked some of the bucks away.
