my 2002 Saskatchewan buck-pic, treestand pic
In one day I had a buck fawn bed down within 50 yards of me. At about 11:30 two young bucks came sauntering into the meadow and took a look around and bolted. Then at 12:00 a yearling doe came by. Then all was quiet until 5 ish when the yearling doe came back, and was looking back in the timber. This buck wandered in and chased her a bit. Then he worked a scrape, which was really cool. He then chased her a little more, and it was then that I decided to take him. He scores 125 B & C. A wonderful day of hunting on stand in northern Saskatchewan. I got just over 80 lbs. of boneless meat from him, so I would guess somewhere up around 250 lbs. If any of you are wondering what I hunt out of, here it is...about 17 ft. off the ground and very comfortable, with one of those wal-mart chairs with arms.
