Yep I would say they are "in the same boat" and I think BOTH areWAY to "gung ho" for my liking but obviously SOME like them ...I mean they got thier OWN show and ole dd aint got one ..go figure [:@]...I just think he lays it on a little thick ...but I guess thats show business ....kinda like when they are acting like they are following a blood trail ...looking hard for the deer but then the camera man is between the hunter and the deer when the hunter acts so suprised when he finds him LOL ...I guess some will beleive anything ... kinda like Come'er Deer

Guys, I was going to come make this actual post but you beat me to it. I was watching him kills his 200 inch ohio buck and it made me feel uncomfotable. if the sound was off and you didn't see him shoot the deer you could imagine any number of trajic things had just happened. Its like he is witnessing the single most horrific event on earth. I actually turned the sound off and showed my wife. She asked if somthing happened to another hunter. she thought he was mortified.
My honest opinion is that he gets that excited because antlers = money for Mr. Stan Potts. I can't say i blame him. He is at the point where it is work. And folks it is entertainment. Those emotions are just not a logical thing if the cameras are not there. He feels like he has to put on a show because he is in fact putting on a show.
I am willing to bet that he gets no more excitement out of getting a deer than i do, but i am usually alone and i would nly be performing for the small woodland creatures around me.
On a slightly less serious note, i wonder if he ever loses control of his bodily functions and pees himself. Cause he goes legit nuts.

BC thats a very good post ...I agree its show business ...I mean he puts on a show that Terrell Ownes for Dallas would envy ...its like he just scored the winning TD in a Super Bowl...moon walking in the end zoneand spiking the ball ...I bet when he makes love to his wife that he is looking for a high 5 when he's finished... it just chapps my butt to watch some like him thinking they are putting something over on all of us [:@]..... Old dd didnt follow the combine in this morning thinking it was a farris wheel ......

At least when you watch Stan Potts you don't get a yellow reflection from the ground like Nugent's hunting areadoes. I have no problem with baiting, but I don't remember Nugent ever shooting anything in the U.S. that didn't have bait in its mouth.

You have to rememeber these guys are "hunting personalities" not hunters. Do you think because they are killing big deer they are great hunters? Anyone can sit on stand at a deer ranch and kill big deer. I think it's comical when Stan Potts gets so worked up, as if he didn't expect to kill a big deer off an outfitter.

After every kill the formula goes:
1. Get excited
2. say "Give me a second" acting out of breathe
3. Immediately begin talking again...
4. Get so worked up his left eye goes cockeyed and makes the cameraman uncomfortable.
5. Put money in pocket
