I once accidentally loaded a 20 gauge shell in my 12 gauge shotgun and heard an awful "click" asI had the largest buck I've ever seen within 20 yds of me. It watched me check and make sure I had a shell in there too! Raised back up, and "click". Then, big buck runs off. The pin had punched just outside the edge of the primer twice. Good thing too I guess.
VERY few times can I go in the woods and not re-live that horrifying moment. It'll haunt me forever. That was about 15 years ago.
Hey, you said "anything". [:-]

While sitting in my stand early last November, I nearly had a hawk land on my head. Apparently, I was sitting so still he thought I was a branch or something. The only reason he didn't is I ducked at the last minute. I then proceeded to go miss a turkey with my bow not once, but twice [&:][&:][&:] My second arrow actually buried itself in a tree so far I could get it out. The broadhead is still stuck in the trunk,,,

I watched a redtail hawk knock itself out cold when it hit a tree next to my tree stand.
He was after a squirrel at the base of the tree. The squirrel jumped up the tree right as the hawk was a maximum velocity. Apparently, those things don't have air brakes.
He layed on his back in the snow with his wings spread out flat for 5 minutes. He twitched, stood up, gathered his thoughts and then flew up into the same tree. He sat there for at least 30 minutes before continuing his hunt.
