I got an updated version of the story. It was 4 deer, not 3. The lawyer did kill a 300+" buck and also killed a 200+" buck himself, and his son did kill a 200+" buck. His hired hand's buck was ONLY 190+".

This lawyer does have PLENTY of money and has the worst reputation of any in our area for being a shiester, and I also heard today that the guy is eat up with cancer (maybe there really is justice in the world).

IMO, if you spend that much to kill 4 deer, no matter the time situation, or lack of it, you're an idiot. I am sure you can findsome place, guided with all the extras for a quarter of that. But, since I can't even affod that 50,000 for 4 deer, I guess I don't know for sure.

Like some of you other guys.... I'd buy some land and manage it for some nice deer.

My Dad pass along a story to my son and I last night about a local lawyer that took his son and a hired hand to somewhere in the midwest (Iowa or Illinois?) to shoot (NOT HUNT) 3 bucks. The lawyer killed a 300+" buck, his son killed a 200+" buck, and his hired hand killed a 190+" buck at a cost of OVER $200,000.

This all the info that was passed on to me, but I am curious if they took the halters off the deer before or after the shots.
Couldn't care less. If there happy, I'm happy. Just wish I hada few of them deer to sell. Who'd a thought anyone would be willing to pay that much. The return, percentage wise hasgot to be enormous.Going to have to give it some serious thought.

Its not for me but the guys has the money then good for him. He earned it so he should spend it how he wants. I hate these shooting preserves but I dont want to see the government telling me how I can spend my money. If there are people dumb enough to spend the money then I say go for it and die happy....
I'll 2nd that. My brother works as an Alaskan guide for among other things, moose, brown bear, dahl sheep, & mountain goat. Their big hunt last year cost $155,000 after tags, airfare, tip (super cheap billionaire shocking huh! :) ) scouting fees, etc. They guy couldn't shoot worth a darn and he said it was the worst client he's ever guided.

You my friend must have serious issues. I'm against this kind of hunting too. But, That is a terrible thing to say.

That's just the kind of stupidity and hate that so many people have on this issue... it's on the level of stupidity that an anti-hunter has about ALL hunting.

I wouldn't kill a released pen deer, or a deer on a "reserve" but more power to a guy who wants to do it. His dollars and vote are on the same side of the issues that mine are... and that is what counts.
