480 ruger question

greetings everyone.

I have a 480 ruger SRH that I would like to use for deer hunting this year. I have noticed, that the recoil is a little stout, and a lot of the time, the skin on my knuckles gets peeled off from the trigger guard.

is there a type of recoil reducing glove that would help? I think the ruger grips are pretty good, but is there a better grip i could put on it to help reduce recoil?

thanks

I don't have a 480 but do a lot of hand gun shooting with stout loads. .357, .45 Colt, .44mag. I found that a good pair of mechanics gloves save a bunch of wear and tear on my hands.

Go to a mountain bike place and get a pair or FOX digit gloves. Very comfy!

480 has got a little bump doesn't it... :D I wear a thin leather glove and that fixes that problem (I had the smae thing happening). I just ordered me some 275gr bullets too. The 480 to date only has 3 choices, 275, 325 and 400 grain. I have been shooting the 325's that is the only thing ever stocked around any store I have checked.

I like the gun though. I have a 9" barrel on it and I am looking forward to taking a deer this season with mine.
