Home made rattle bags

Have any of you ever made a rattle bag out of old antlers? I am going to try some out this year during rifle season. What are your thoughts.

ive never tried making my own, but a good thought. I would think you would want all different size peices liek they do in the store bought ones, and you will want to make sure that you soak them in water for atleast 24 hours so they can keep there clarity of sound. antler dries pretty fast and may lose its good tone. good idea if you have extra bone laying around.

I put one together last year using some old antlers and a few linkin logs. I placed them in the toe of a hunter green insulated sock. It worked suprisingly well. If you have the antlers or some similer substitute lying around I say go for it.
