Albino doe!
While I was following a deer trail I was within 10 yds of a big albino doe. She didnt have pink eyes, but she was close enough. We stood there for over a minuite watching each other, before she had enough and blew out.I sure hope some turd doesnt shoot her this year. She lay there looking just like a unicorn!

You are an idiot, thanks for clearing that up for me.

It is not only legal, it is encouraged...per New Hampshire Fish and Game Dept.Told to me by a statewildlife officer. If she did not have pink eyes, she was not albino. No matter, albino deer are also legal. Plus, we never describe another hunter as a turd. If another "turd" ( as you call them in Wisc) put his tag on her, I wouldshaketheir hand....yep, even yours! |

To answer a couple questions for you, I think you are an idiot to shoot anything that unique.Im sure it doesnt taste any better. Here in Wisc. we dont shoot white deer, no matter what color the eyes are.
A turd is a piece of crap with in the woods. They set up drives with 30-40 guys and shooteverything that moves. They leave litter in the woods, and Realy dont have any respect for anything or anyone.I call them turds because thats the nicest word I have for them.I hope thats clear enough for you. You can just keep your snotty buttin new hamshire where it belongs, and shoot all the white deer you want to. furgitter,
you are not making us Wisc guys look very good here. I think your only reasonable statement is the one talking about big 30 man drives...and litter. if someone disagrees with you (in a civil and reasonable manner), and you respond by calling them an idiot....well, that just shows us all who the real idiot is. |
RE: Albino doe!
I've only been hunting a few years, but I've always heard (at least in Wisconsin anyways) that it is illegal to shoot albino deer. Now if its white and doesnt have pink eyes...I'd probably still not shoot it, just in case. Maybe the laws are different in New Hampshire.
Just my 2 cents |
RE: Albino doe!
still pretty ignorant to call the guy an idiot. maybe where he comes from its alright and legal to shoot them. and about shooting unique things, what is wrong with that? i am more inclined to shoot something that is unique (and legal) than some ordinary ol doe.
its very funny how people judge people and call them an idiot over one comment they made. i think that shows who the real idiot is[&:] |
RE: Albino doe!
An albino doe is nothing special and should be shot for the simple factthey are genetically abnormal and risk spreading that gene to future generations. If it is illegal to shoot one in your state so be it,but don't criticize someone for doing it if it is legal in theirs.Personally if were me I would mount it along any other unique animal that I might shoot legally.

RE: Albino doe!
I guess it goes to show ya how selfish some hunters are. That doe looked beautifull laying down or on the run. When you kill something like that because it is geneticaly inferior, are you realy worried about that deer screwing up the area with bad genetics? Quit sounding stupid, why would you realy shoot it? To be the first guy on the block to have one? It will look better in the woods than it will on your wall.

RE: Albino doe!
if a blonde bear came to your bait barrel would you pass it up because its apparently more beautiful than a black one???
|
RE: Albino doe!
No, I would pass on it because I would want others to see it. Black bears taste great. And once the hide is off, they all look the same. Its not worth the 30 minuites of fame for killing it. As long as its not a trouble bear. Something causing dammage has to go. White wolf- blonde bear- white deer- whatever. It looks to me that alot of hunters on here are not realy selective in what they shoot. And havent been in the woods long enough to make a call like that. Shooting first and then figuring it out. Thats too bad.

RE: Albino doe!
Let's cut to the chase.
I would never call another hunter an idiot if he/she decided to kill any deer by any method that was legal. I would leave that to the anti's. We all share a bond as hunters and I have yet to meet one that I would be ashamed of. I have raised three sons (all in their late 30's) to be respectful hunters, which they certainly are. We may not all agree on every style of hunting or the deer some decide to shoot. I am not a big fan of hunting with dogs, but if a hunter down South hunts that way and tags his deer legally, who am I to judge him? I say good luck to you. I don't shoot fawns but they are legal and if any hunters decides to shoot one, good for them. I may disagree with the use of cross bows during archery season, but that's my opinion. For those that use them and it's legal, then I hope yatag a big one. I have no right to question anyone's decision how they hunt or what they shoot as long as it is legal in their state or province. Yes, furgitter, call mean idiot, that's your right. I am very selective in what I shoot and yes, I have been in the woods long enough to make that call. One other thing furgitter....(From one hunter to another) Good Luck to you during this 2007 season. |
RE: Albino doe!
As my legal right here in NC, I would take an albino, pieballed, or any other unique deer that I might happen upon.

Good luck to you too Jimmy. I hope you all have a safe successfull year!

RE: Albino doe!
I to would shoot the white doe and would be even quicker to shoot it if it was a white buck instead. They may appear unique to you but coyotes would make a very quick dinner out of it. If it was a buck i would figure out how to get a full lifesize mount done out of it. Here it is also legal and recommended that it would be culled excpt for the does which you could only shoot during bow season in this area.
