Camo-ing a blind....
 

Guys, I have almost finished a new wooden blind to hunt out of. I know I want to paint the inside of it flat black. I am trying to figure out what color to paint the outside of it. I don't bow hunt and won't be using it until season comes in mid November. Things in Indiana aren't green at that point here. They are brown or tan or gray...but not green.

I was thinking of trying to camo it but have no idea how to go about that. IF deer are truely color blind, then what makes the difference what color I paint the outside?

Any pointersor advice for me with this project?

I would use brown, grey, and black camo pattern to break up the silouette. You can purchase a stencil set from a fabric or arts supply store.I would use flat black on the exterior as well all flat paints would be best. I have see people glue straw like material to the bottom to give it some depth, besure to spray it to kill the scent. Good Luck, send some pictures when it is all done.

you might look at the berlap stuff at walmart it comes like 3 feet by 15 feet looked like good stuff for a blind or take some limbs and fix them to the blind with screws cheap fix there

why dont u drill some real limbs to it and naturally brush it out...i agree with the black
interior..like my double bull...i hunt in it dressed in regular pants and black shirt.. love it
