What would you do?
What would you do in this situation.
15Mph Crosswind 160yd Shot 30.30 Scoped 150grain bullet. Last day of the season and only 20 mins of legal shooting time left. If you choose other let us know what you would do in a situation like this |
RE: What would you do?
Still like the neck shot.. But I purposly select bullets that don't pass thru the body..

RE: What would you do?
Seeing as I am a meat hunter, not a horn hunter, I would probubly wait untill I could make a shot without endangering one of the other deer, and take him. I know, he may be only a 3 1/2 year old but is probubly more tender. Sorry.

RE: What would you do?
I would try to get closer if that one lookin at yah looked away and continued on doin what it was doin then i would try to get closer and wait for that big guy in the back to get into the clear.

RE: What would you do?
Since I hunt to fill the freezer and not for a trophy (would be nice to get at least one), I would try and get in to a closer position since 160yds is a stretch for the 30/30. Then I would hope for a broadside shot on either of the two.

RE: What would you do?
I'd wait for the big boy to be clear of the others, and take him. He's looking at you, but doesn't seem too concerned. They're just chilling, so it's no need to rush. The .30-30 can handle a 150yd shot, no question.

RE: What would you do?
Probably poop my pants because we don't usually see deer like that in Florida!:D

RE: What would you do?
I don't know enoughabout the 30-30 soI can't say. But with the 30-06 it would be a clean shot in the position they're in. The buck in the rear has his head turned away, so he is in no dangerand if the one in the front is turned to the right you may get two for one because it's head may be in the line of fire.
