RE: Ground blind...
Warny,
I sure like the look of that blind and am going to make one real close to that myself. Any tips? I would love to see pictures of the inside of it with the bench and foot-rest, etc. I kinda measured last night and I think I will make mine 60 by 60 about 6 feet tall. Can ya help me out here? THANKS, |
RE: Ground blind...
I'll be repainting it tomorrow and will take some more pics.
It's 60" long,48" wide,60" high in front, and 54" high in back.I framed it with 2x4's,and closed it in with 1x10 boards.I built the bench from 2x8 planks. Son and I had a blast building it. |

RE: Ground blind...
Warny,
That looksAWESOME! Paint job did wonders. I was thinking of painting mine flat black on the inside and flat green on the outside like you did. Any chance of getting a pic of how you did the door and the bench? Is the bench attached to the unit or just a stand alone type bench? Is yours all 1 piece? I am thinking of making mine in sections so that I can easily carry it in/out of the field. Maybe have the back and 1 side hinge together, the front and 1 side hinge together and the roof seperate. Then simply fasten them together in the field.....easy to move from place to place if you like. Depending on the weight if I make it 3 pieces or 5. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! Can't wait to get started on this! |

RE: Ground blind...
Warny,
What would you change with your blind if anything? Me & my boys started ours last night, we got the front panel done and will be working on the sides tonight. I think we are going to put 20" windows on each side that can be opened or closed and be able to shoot out them as well. The door will be in the back like yours is. I am thinking about the paint. I know I want flat black for the inside. Not sure about the outside as we don't bow hunt so most things aren't green here in Nov/Dec. Maybe a brown/tan/grey......Anyone got any ideas for someone who lives in the midwest? Any chance of pictures of the inside and the bench that you made? THANKS for your help! |
RE: Ground blind...
Hey Warny,
Nice looking blind. Good luck out of it this year. At 48" deep is that going to be enough for you with a bow? |
