Scented and waterproof dirt??

RE: Scented and waterproof dirt??
I also read about this in a recent article this month. The website, I don't think, provide the weight amount of dirt you are buying for $20.00 plus shipping.
Seems like a good idea, but I read another way to preserve your mock scape is to dig up an 18 inch oval patch of dirt, scrape the dirt to the side until you made a small shallow bowl and lay "WAXED PAPER" in the center and cover it back up with the dirt. This prevents the deer scent from seeping away into the ground.
Sounds pretty easy and cheap, I like cheap and I'm sure the wife has plenty of wax paper around. The article also states you only need approx. 1 square foot of paper.

RE: Scented and waterproof dirt??
my friend just bought some and I made a mock scrape for him with it. It is some strong smelling stuff. We shall see if it works. I think its crazy, he paid 25 dollars for Id guess maybe 2 cups worth.
