Default Deer eating pears?

I was wondering if deer eat pears? Anyone know if they do? I would imagine they would but I could be wrong. Thanks, BR

I've had the same experience. I used to hunt some property that the owner wanted me to spread loads of bait for him on a couple of his own spots ebery time I was hunting there.
Out of curiousity I used to keep track of what the deer seemed to prefer. They would eat the pears forst, no matter what the smorgasbord was. The pears went first.

I will be hunting over a couple of pear trees this year, but the problem is that there are also apple trees all over the place. Do you know if they prefer pears over apples???

I suggest you make a stealthy sneek of the area and figure out if the apple trees are droping thier friut and the same with the pears. Also I'd sample each to see what is tasting sweetest.
If only one has fruit on the ground or is attainable then hunt that one.
I have seen deer stand on thei hind legs to reach friut on the branch though.

Glad to hear deer like pears. Yesterday I planted 4 apple trees on a farm we purchsed last year. I was wanting to put our some pear trees but didnt know if it would be good for the deer. I plan on putting some out next weekend.
