a pipe would work . But some guy at our club has a metal welded one he made its just the frameitsgot a roof, and the metal bars holds the half a 55 gallon drum cut long ways. hard to explain lol ill try to get pics

Don't waste your time. I have had a lot of luck with this feeder and for $20 you can't beat it.

To get the use out of your feeder ..the best thing is to buy one..if finances is a problem any size barrel will do..cut out a small opening in side of barrel at bottom and let it gravity feed them..Most 55 gal drums or 30 gallon drums hold alot of feed and will last at least aweek or more..You can buy a feeder from local hunting store and build your own any size you want just remember dont fill it up until you hang it up..
