If more stands are within your budget, go for it. You can`t have too many stand locations.

RE: Is more than one too many?

I currently have 7 hang on stands and one climbing stand. I had 2 climbers but I sold one last month. I plan to use the money off that to buy a couple more hang on stands. In my opinion, you can never have too many stands, but it seems like you could always use just one more.

You are joking, right? As the parent of two boys (20 and 18), I got to tell you that I am happiest when they are hunting or fishing. They could be hanging at the mall or park getting into trouble, but I never have to worry about that because I know they are having good clean fun when they are hunting. Shoot, you could be spending your money on dope or twopak cd's. This Dad says good for you! Jim

RE: Is more than one too many?

you can never have to many stands,so you don't hunt the same one all the time.
I have 4 climbers
7 ladders
3 permanent
1 tripod
4 ground blinds
I don't like to hunt a stand over two days in a row.

I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest

remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

More than I probably need but like mentioned above, you can never have too many. At times, they are all out there.

RE: Is more than one too many?

At one point I had about 25 hangons, real pain in the arse.

Now I use one climber and have one as a backup. with about 30 trees set up and waiting this system has worked great for me.

2 climbers, 1 purchased ladder stand, 2 home made ladder stands, 1 8ft.x8ft tree house complete with roof and heater. I'm going to build a couple of more ladder stands in the next month to have them ready for next year.

Redneck dont get the strongbuilt with the sling seat its junk. I had one and sent it back. Get the strongbuilt with the plastic swivel seat on it. Its a great stand! $99.00 at Cabela's. Very confortable, I can sit in that thing all day.

16 stand in 3 different counties, all but one of this is homeade. I couldn't pass up a $50 louger stand at Cabelas. I was able to get a good deal I couldn't pass up.

Redneck I just read your post again . You were talking about a lock on right? Well, the post above I was talking about the sling seat ladder stand by strongbuilt.

RE: Is more than one too many?

3 ladder stands - 2 hang-on's - 1 climber

Two of the ladder stands are Rivers Edge Deluxe Ladders w/ sling type seats. I have never been more comfortable in a stand, makes a big difference in how long you can stay in stand.

The climber from Featherlite has the same kinda sling seat, it's just as nice.
