Default Why Peanut Butter?

I am new to deer hunting and some of the men at work told me to put out peanut butter for the deer loves this stuff. Whats so special about peanut butter?

it's high in sugars and salts but,what I've found from trail cameras is racoons enjoy it more than deer. I don't use it anymore, I keep it and make sandwiches instead.

Funny this question came up..I put out 3 jars today..Last year and today i took some of it and placed it on the tree around 6ft. high to the ground they will get on hind legs just to reach it....They will fight over it..

I'm gonna bet corn is cheaper and works just as well if that is what you want to do. If you have or know someone that has and apple tree that works ok too.

I wouldn't waste the money on peanut butter to use it as bait or an attractant. If want to spend money there are much better things you buy.
