Default Getting Excited About the 2007 Hunting Season

I have just recently learned of Game Lands only 8 miles from my back door. The Tillery Game lands in eastern, NC makes up nearly 4,000 acres of mostly wooded hunting land.

I was unable to hunt any last year due to a major last minute increase in my hunting lease of only 250 acres.

Another advantage, a portion of the land is only 5 minutes from where I work. I can now get off work in the morning and hunt for an hour or so before going home to get some sleep.

Can't wait!

I know what you mean. My dad and I went out today and did some treestand hanging and blind building. I thought I was excited before today but now I am even more excited. We also saw a doe and two fawns come into our food plot that we planted this spring. I just can't wait to see them again this fall. Good luck to everyone this year.

I sat for the first time last night. I was so geeked up that I got in the stand at 4:00. Normally I don't mind a long sit, but it was ungodly hot yesterday with no breeze. About an hour and a half in, I started wondering if I had lost some of mypassion for hunting, but all of that was over at the first sight of brown. I didn't see any bucks, but saw 9 does and fawns. Here's to hoping this season is as good as last.

Yeah I'm really excited about hunting this year... this year I'm going to college near home and commuting so I will be able to hunt all the time. And this will be the first year I have my own gun to hunt with and have my bowhunting license.

I really hope I can get a deer this year.

Doing the final tuning of my bow today (season 1 week away). ML and 7mm mag are both sighted in and ready to go also. Camo and gear in the bag.Just food to pack. Yeah, I think the excitement is there.

Definitely ready!!!!!! I took my .270out yesterday and put 10 shots inside a 3 inch circle at 100 yards. I thought that was pretty acceptable where I didn't have a solid rest.I figure that will kill a deer.
