20 point droptine buck possibly killed

Someones saying that they ran onto a big dead droptine buck here.... GOD I hope it isnt true..... Im gonna check it out and let you all know...

AND me and mom saw a huge 14 pointer last night right beside the road. We stopped and looked at it for a few minutes and it just stood there. I had time enough to count 14 points... its BIG.

Yes I am seeing a lot of buck movement from the roads now. This seems a bit early for my part of the country.
My mother feels that were off by a month the last 3 years. August like September and so on now.

I hit a doe and fawn last fall, $7500 worth of damage. Sucked a little bit.

Well this person told me that they saw it dead, and they tookme to it. There WAS a dead buck, but it wasnt the big one. It is an 8 pointer. So the big 20 point is still alive.

So it turned from a big droptine buck, to an average eight point. Wow.

Maybe the 20 pt droptine buck was eaten by the black panther?

That would be my guess.

nope I would say it was actually killed by a large Grizzly bear, or a kodiak brown bear, he will probaly post the pictures next week.

Bristow - a little advise

We are all hunters on here. There is nobody better in the world at b.s. then a hunter. You can't B.S. a B.Ser.

We all love to here a good story. We all like to tell a good story. Some may embelish a bit, some my add what they call "needed color". Either way some part of the story must be believable.

I am not about to call you a liar, I have seen a lot of stuff in my line of work, but you have to admit that it is pretty amazing that this stuff happens to you. Sometime it is ok to start over. Learn from ones mistakes. Good luck bud

Wow, looking back at these older posts... There was a lot of hate going on. In my defense, I am still sticking with my stories. I'm a little older now but the truth of the stories I have brought to this website still remain true.

I just can't help it if someone tells me about a giant buck that turns out to be a small one. These days I double check the facts before I post any hearsay about anything. It's still a good forum even with all the negative remarks in the past. I forgive those of you that doubted :)

LOL. Nah they didn't.

After our bad run-in with EHD no one saw the big buck anymore. I asked a guy who lived in the area if I could search for dead deer but he declined. He said he could smell dead animals while driving his ATV around but never did see anything.

I'm afraid that buck is gone for good. Hey, at least I ended up with the antlers from his brother though.
