Possible antlered doe?

Ok, im not gonna be one to talk about something crazy, like black panthers or something. But i got my camera back the other day and saw a 6-point, but what was very wierd is that there was a fawn with it and it was under him (her?) with his face to the underneath almost like the fawn was trying to get milk or something. I've heard of antlered does, albino deer, bearded hens and stuff and know theyre rare. But i do have a picture of this and there is no doe around. Could this be an antlered doe? Ill try and get the picture posted on here, so be patient. I gotta figure out how to do it. Thanks for any info you have.

My grandpa shot a 6 point doe in Wyoming he got it mounted. It looks pretty weird though.

I guy from around here shot a buck a few years ago. It was november and it still was in velvet. When he went to field dress it, the he turned out to be a she.

There was a 28pt doe killed about 30 miles from here last year. Not common, but not unheard of either.

Well i know they are some out there even though its rare, but from the picture i described would you think its an antlered doe?

I believe its possible, if you have pictures of it milking or w/e its doingthose aresome rare pictures. I would guess it was a doe. Upload a pic.

I know for a fact that a big antlered doe was shot in Parke county Indiana. It made the papers around here. Its been a few years ago. Im not sure if I can get any info on it or not. I will check... I believe the person that shot it was from Montezuma Indiana. It was a very big doe with huge antlers...

Look at the face and that long neck. I mean, it really does look like a doe that has antlers. Who knows.

I definitaly say that it is a doe. However, I also could agree with others in saying that it could be an orphaned fawn who found refuge with a buck....
There was a 12pt doe shot not to long ago. Dont know where but I read about it on the interent in some news article. I'll do a search right now.

I saw a nice antlered doe being checked in. It had 13 points and was in full velvet in the middle of november.

I think its more likely a chance that its a fawn, that happens to be with a buck - than the chance that its an antlered doe. But it sure could be.

Looks like a young buck that has an orpahn following him instead of a doe. THere is to much normal growth for a antlered doe.

Yes, there are such things as antlered does. I used to read a magazine called Hunting Illustrated... they did a segment on it. It's because of high bad genes... or something like that. I can post it if yall would like.

Alan Woodward had the rare opportunity to observe this 17-point antlered doe for several years before finally taking the odd trophy last season. The South Texas deer never shed her rack throughout that span. Photo by Macy Ledbetter

micheal jackson in the form of a whitetail??what next?!?

No but seriously, that is a very cool picture if it is a doe. Hopefully you can find out once season rolls around. The does that end up growing a rack, never shed their velvet right? That would be such a cool mount.

RE: Possible antlered doe?

Good possibility it is an antlered doe. They are rare, but they are out there. On my hunting property, there's an albino doe running around out there, and in Ohio your allowed to kill albino's so if she comes walking past I'll put an arrow through her.

RE: Possible antlered doe?

I still say its an antlered doe. I know the pic is a little blurry, but im no good with Photoshop. Take away the antlers and you can really see the features it has that makes it look like a doe.
