I'm newer to hunting, so after awhile, my priorities will change, I may very well go into wanting a huge buck, or into, "buck only" mode, unless I want tender venison from a doe.

I enjoy hunting just to get to see my friends I ususally don't get to see except that time of year. I also find it relaxing just to get away from work, home, and everything else. Yes I want to harvest a deer but I don't worry about it if I don't. There is one guy who's new to our group thats been coming down for the last 3 years and hasn't gotten a deer yet. I'll let him hunt in my stand if he wants.I have other areas I can go and have just as good a chance.

I shoot some Does every season to keep my ratios as tight as I can but it's ONE quality mature buck that I'm huntin' for, that's what keeps me going from the first day of the season to the last!

For me ... I hunt Monster Meat. I find one buck that will go state record or world class and hunt it until the season is over or it dies.
In Kentucky we are allowed as many does as we want, and I've taken as less as two and as many as eight.
Last season I was on a world class typical but couldn't seal the deal ... but, a new season awaits me.
