Check out this buck shot in Camp Blanding WMA last year during the youth hunt. CB WMA is inNE Florida btw.. Buck is 120 4/8" 145lbs. This link is a link to the Hunting Regs book, pic is on front cover and on the second or third page, there is a little photo and some more info on the buck. This is exceptional for FL and damn good for public land..

that is a nice buck......Florida's deer may be smaller, but we do have some good ones....it's not the size of them that make a hunt, it's the hunt itself...the solitude, the ups, the downs, it's all the same anywhere you hang your stand.
i'm in central fl........where i hunt, 2 bucks came out last season that were green scored @ 117, the other was like 117 7/8........the bases were 4''.....monster florida bucks(swamp bucks)
working the check station i get to see alot of the deer come out, they are getting better and better antlers and body weights....my one doe weighed 125 lbs., thats like unheard of in florida, lol.....

I hunt some good private land Gainesville and we have a 100 inch rule. Have been real lucky to get the land and have killed 4 deer off there in 2 years. A 128, 116, 114, 104, the 104 and the 116 both weighed over 180 pounds. If I can figure out how to post this pic I will.

Florida can gow decent bucks too. I have a former boss who killed two bucks from a WMA that both scored 120s-130s. A coastal WMA with a small deer population and a little access. My dad and my good friend have bucks from the same trophy club scored high 120s from Madison County. Check the florida buck registry fromMadison and Jeffersoncounties.
