Wisconisn Deer Herd Reduction
 

According to the latest WDNR releasestatements on Wi deer hunting in order for the deer herd to become "under control", all hunters must shoot 2.4 deer. Now I dont know about the rest of you folks butI have a hard time cleaning up 1-2 deer a year but 2.4 deer, thats a lot of meat. Also it sounds as if the Wi deer harvest doesnt meet requiremental kills this year, they will be adding I believe 12 more areas to the earn a buck system this year. If my number is incorrect and someone really knows please repost.

thats not only a lot of meat but expensive too. I used to take my meat in to have it made into sausage but that was way too expensive. I decided to get a smoker and make it myself.

I have no idea and havent heard anything yet but will be contacting a buddy of mine that works for the DNR to get a little inside info on it.

If you find it a lot of meat then you could always quarter the carcas and donate it to a soup kitchen or some other charitable organization. There are always those that can use the meat. If you are out there then what's the cost of another bullet and/or cleaning off another arrow.

Yeah The DNR is full of crap in Wisconsin. I hate it. In 7 years we're not going to have any deer to hunt.
