Question concerning foxes

The last three times I have been out hunting I have not seen anything except for a few squirrels and a brown fox. The squirrels are naturally barking at the fox, but I was wondering if that will cause the deer not to come through the area?

Thanks

RE: Question concerning foxes

Probably won't make a bit of difference to the deer. It is just part of nature they see every day.

I've seen deer get spooked by squirrels as well as not pay any attention to them.I also seen a doe with 2 youngun's chase off a pair of grey fox.

I don't think the fox would be a problem. The first thing you need to do is think like a deer. They live in the wild and they pay attention to there surroundings, if you have sqiurrels barking because something is bothering them then it MIGHT spook the deer. If the deer feel there is something making another animal nervous then they may not go near that area.

RE: Question concerning foxes

6 of one half dozen of the other the deer see them all the time and so on one hand they are used to their chatter on the other hand if another animal is sounding the alarm they will sometimes steer cleer. Being out there is the only way to know and if you see deer come in then they spook at the squirrels barking then maybe they won't come through that area at that time. Hard to say think like a deer be the deer.
