deer pooping area!!!!!!!!!
 

today i got up and drove 32 miles to work only to turn arround and go home because of rain. i got home and called a hunting buddy and went to a new area that we haven't hunted before, it was raining pretty good so it would be easy to get on some fresh tracks, after my pants got soaked i decided to head back to the truck. you used to be able to drive to this spot but they closed down the road and you cannot target shoot there anymore, but you can still hunt there, anyways i came across an area that could be a park, as i walked down to it i noticed that there was old deer poop everywhere and in massive quanities. i bet you could've filled a 5 gallon bucket in a 20'x20' area. this park area was about 3-5 acres big and the deer poop was on the sides,flat areas,in the washes. it was really abundant in the stream bed where the rain washed it down, the only bad thing was it was all old poop. i only walked down 1 side and didn't get a chance to see where the real fresh poop was located at, but you can bet i'm gonna keep an eye on this area.

Sounds to me like somebody needed a place to dump they're buckets after cleaning from under they're rabbit cages. But I don't know. Just an idea

Where are you from? I ask this because in all my years of hunting, I have only seen something like you describe in ONE place! It was exactly like you said, it looked like it could be scooped up in buckets! The spot I found was on top of a butte in south eastern Wyoming. Where was yours?

my friend went back yesterday to this area but seen no deer. he did mention seeing some kitty tracks following some javelina tracks. i seen some of those tracks on monday and they were HUGE i would say 4"x4", at first i thought that it was a dog track (alot of hikers in this area)but i forgot about them till he mentioned it yesterday. i'm gonna have to invest in a lion tag next year.

i went back ant checked out the other side and no poop at all. but i did find this wash that was full of tracks deer,havelina,horses,humans,coyote,and a real big kitty. it has got to be a good 4&quot;x4&quot;. made me some carpet booties to be more quiet, but i can't get my license and tag till friday bummer. but we've been finding alot of drop antlers though. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
