I understand some of these might not exactly be strategies but here ya go:
1. Try and incorporate family into the hunt
2. Introduce someone else to hunting
3. Choosing the right weapon for you. Make sure you can handle the gun you choose.
4. Practicing with your weapon. Make sure you know your limitations
5. Gun safety. how to carry, point, and shoot your firearm
6. getting to and from your hunting spot
7. Pre season scouting
8. Options for concealment. Ground blinds, tree stands, natural blinds etc
9. Shot placement
10. What to do after the shot. Tracking, field dressing, dragging, keeping the meat cool, butchering and storage

I know it is necessary, but don't let the advertisers run the show.
I don't think I have ever seen a television show that showed from the shot to hanging in the cooler. Lot of young hunters could get valueable information there.
Skinning and capeing a trophy.
Something new, spear hunting whitetails in Alabama.

Can all that cr*p, what we need is a television show on the ultimate form of deer hunting - still hunting!!!!

Just getting out there - one man one deer, and the mansearching forthe deer. None of this sitting on your butt in a tree and hoping something walks by.
