RE: What's the oldest buck you have killed or seen?
My sister killed a buck last November that was estimated to be about 9 years old. It's one of the coolest looking bucks I've ever seen. He only had a couple of teeth left. The cool thing about him was that he still had a thick, dark rack, but was only a 3x3. I've got a picture of him around here somewhere.

Depends on what you consider mature. Biologically speaking I believe a buck at 5.5 is mature. However, in many parts of the country where hunting pressure shortens the lifespans considerably, most people go with 3.5-4.5 as "mature".

We headed to New Brunswick last fall and shot some nice deer. The camp we were at has had some old deer shot there. The oldest taken at the camp was 9.5 and I believe the oldest taken in the province was 15.5. I think it says that at the dnr website for the province. I trust these numbers based on the checkin stations measurments and data collected from the harvested animals. Kinda wish New York would do something like that.
