Allot of Facts based on what? Reports?
as we all know hunters tale bigger tails than fishermen do. Oh i almost forgot most hunters are fisherman too. The facts of what we spend and and what we do can only be estimated. Hunting and other shooting sportsis a trillion dollar a year business world wide. How and what it is spent from shooting sports to big game hunting is undetermined only estimated. |

Thanks for theinfo, has a lot of breakdowns. Surprise, not many deer hunters in the Pacific West.
Daleh, the survey didn't just talk about how much hunters spent, that was only a small part of it. Anyway, all surveys have to be taken with a grain of salt. Check out the intimidating women deer hunters on page 12 with their blue shotguns. Deer everywhere are trembling. :D |
RE: Deer Hunting in the United States: An Analysis of Hunter Demographics
Even though the information was somewhat dated, two things jump out at me.
1) Low percentage of women hunters compared to the population. I guess that is why we have seen that demographic targeted so heavily by the outdoor industry in recent years. 2) Income-looks like this might comfirm that you have to have money to hunt.....incomes 40K and higher, as a percentage, are higher for deer hunters than for the country as a whole. Thanks for posting this! |
