Greatpics. Just reinforces something non-hunters don't understand. You don't have to "shoot " anything to have a great day in the field. I always go thru way more film than shells. good luck on the turkeys. W.

Way cool pic. Thanks for sharing. I saw a doe birthing 2 years ago. I wish I had my camera at the time. Since then I never go scouting without my digital. Good job, once in a lifetime, congrats.

Those pic's make you feel good when you think back to the yotes I've taken and trapped this past fall/winter.

Makes you feel kind of bad about shooting a deer, doesn't it? Just remember, every deer you shoot was once that cute and innocent, but dang they sure do taste good.

that is a sweet pic and I bet you were pretty amazed when you ran across it. just remember if you disturb that fawn momma will likely abandon it. She is somewhere close by watching.

Gentlemen that is what hunting is all about, some of my greatest hunts I never fired a shot.As a redneck farmboy I have seen several fawns in my life including one birth, while mowing hay.You want to feel sick to your stomach run over one with a mowing machine! what a waste!!!!

I can't imagine, how terrible, I sure would feel bad.

Was it the one that you saw born that you mowed up?

I guess no one hunts crop damage around these parts.

Those little spotted things taste ten times better when there young and around 15 lbs or so.

Its only meat.

I found a pair offawns myselfthe other day. One we put in the turkey fryer (fit perfect!) and the other we threw on the grill whole. All I can say is..... SUCCULENT!!!

No, really those are great pics. I did see one the other day in a park and a guy was holding it (said it looked "sickly" and it's mother must have left it!). I explained to him that it was natural for them to be "abandoned" while the mother ventured out.....hopefully she took him back after that guy put his scent all over it. When he set it down it walked off perfect and wobbly...not at all "sickly".

Yotes have to eat too! They're just makin' a living like the rest of us.
There's nothing evil or wrong about the yotes eatin' deer. No different than the snake taking the frog.

Momma nature wastes nothing.

RE: look what I found.....

i have seen alot of fawns too. the most memorable time was as I was entering the hunting club and a fawn would not move off the side of the dirt road. My wife wanted to take the fawn home!

FYI-When the fawns are that small, they don't produce enough scent from their glands to be hunted by coyotes as easybased on their smell. Which is nature's way of giving the fawns a bettersurvival rate.As easy a target as the fawns are, at leasttheycant be hunted as easy as mature deer!
