Yeah I guess I would have to go with Alaska as well for first choice, with Minnesota being a close second.

I'd stick to my homestate of Wisconsin prolly. Second choice would be a toss up between Southern Indiana (topographically similar to where I hunt now, and most of family is there) or Ohio (don't need to elaborate on that one).

Thanks 4TRACKS for the vote out of your country. I've seen some very impressive deer racks in Texas but when they show the deer beside the hunter the deer themselves look rather small. I guess that may be due to game trophy farming. Thank ok if that's what you are into but I prefer the big body animals myself. There are many hunting clubs up here in Manitoba that give their best hunting pizes at the end of the year event for the largest body deer. A few years back I hung a bruzer 4x4, missing one tine (G2) that had a 23" spead. Dressed he pushed the scales to just over 265 lbs. When I tied his knees to the rafters in my 8 ft. garage, his nose still touched the ground. I came in third.Lots of freezer food there. Lots of bucks of here that push the 200 lbs. that are seen as average. There is nothing wrong with harvesting a 130-140 lb. doe. Best meat in the forest.I scary thing is I've seen some that I'm sure would push close to 300 lb. dressed.
