I hunt mostly in the northern interlake area of Manitoba Canada. Besides the size of the deer, (both body as well as racks....they say due to the large amount of calcium and other minerals in the soil), there is almost nil hunting pressure. During bow season I have not seen another hunter in the last decade, during ML haven't seen another hunter for the last 4 years, and during rifle you might see the occasional other hunter. Yes it is cold during rifle season but you have 30 or so sq. miles to yourself. It has been a great place to teach the kids. I've got a dozen stands in place so always have a lot of options. The sunrises and sunsets in Manitoba are amazing over the crisp diamond sparkling snow. Everytime I'm out, I say a thank you to my god for such an amazing area.

I would have to say state and federal land in Sherburne County MN, Not because there are alway huge bucks, and not because I always bag something, but because I know that area very well and feel a lot of confort and enjoyment while hunting htere.

Well id have to agree with yah there. There is such a wide range of animals to hunt. 8 big game animals, 4 predators, too many small game and birds too count, such a ride range of hunting geography. On the east side of the province its nothin but flat prairies and one the west we got the Rocky Mountains. A hunter's Paradise
