Antler Growth?

Did the early warm weather start the bucks antler growth early this year? Saturday april 21I was driving in Bloomington IN, and I saw a dead buck on the side of the road with about 5 inches of antler coming from both sides of his head. And a guy that lives by my farm has a captive buck and its antlets are around 4 inches. I may be wrong but i thunk that it is awful early for that here in southern indiana.

havent seen any here in southerin wisconsin but i have heard of guys saying they saw bucks with 2-6 inches of growth.

I saw one laying dead on my trip thru Ohio last week that had 3 or 4 inches up already.Also alot of the sheds I've found have been laying out for a month or better because the wax ring that is around fresh sheds pedicles has been washed away.I also found one laying next to me feeder in early feb.
