Wool Suits
Anyone still use the traditional wool suits? Im thinking about getting a suit, but Im not sure what the drawbacks are.

RE: Wool Suits
I use one if the weather's real cold. The only drawback is that it get's really heavy when wet--but it'll still keep you warm

RE: Wool Suits
I have a nice Browning camo wool suit that I wear. I have it for extreme cold NE days. I have a nice pair of 6 pocket cargo pants w/ a matching jacket. I picked it up on ebay last year new. It has a very comfortable fleece lining in it too.
They do get heavy quick when wet. I usually wear the pant most of gun season. The jacket only on cold sits. |
RE: Wool Suits
I like a wool suit too. I prefer to wear with the vest. The vest keeps the tie in and keeps it from hanging out and catching on brush.

RE: Wool Suits
To heavy for me for my style of hunting.Hunters have been successful with it for generations though.
