RE: ETHICS - WOULD U CHEAT?

Are you going to turn him down when he is willing to help you out?
Absolutely.

Are you going to turn him in?
For sure.

Are you not going to vote for him in the next election?
Not a chance and it will have nothing to do with whether or not I get a tag it will be because the Treasurer you described is corrupt.

BTW, because others act without integrity or are dishonest is not justification for doing the same. That's just an excuse.

Also,it'snot "dumb" (how insulting) to conduct yourself ethically and to do the right thing and those that do are not naive about how the world works either. Ethical people will make ethical choices regardless of what others are doing. They follow their concience not the crowd.

You know whats funny, is from Sylvan's holier than thou posts, I betis the first guy take a tag on this premise. It is notstrange or unusual for him to try to portray himself as little better than the rest.:D

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. In one thread you are saying that you would break the law and knowingly cheat the system.

In another thread you are saying that hunters that don't sit in a stand and wait for deer to walk by to shoot them are slobs and don't even qualify as real hunters.

Sounds like you have identified yourself as a slob hunter to me.

I'm with whitetaildave....We are blessed here in Indiana not to have to draw for a tag for anything so I couldn't really tell you....but I think that I'd like to say no I wouldnt get caught up in the scam or whatever BUT it would be a whole different ball game if I was standing face to face with it knowing if I declined this there is a good chance I would not get to hunt that year. And when hunting is your passion it would be hard to gamble with something like that....
I have a lifetime license, so even if we went to a draw system it would never affect me, but I'd turn the ** in just for offering it. People like that ** off.

Sadly looks like a lot of hunters don't know what the word integrity means. Just because everyone else is doing something wrong doesn't mean I should do it to. I am priviledged to live in a country where I can hunt. When enough people break the rules then the tree huggers win and no one will hunt. (I have my fire suit on so flame away).

As I told my twin boy's the other day, "All you will ever have in life will be your name. Your name preceeds you in everything you do. Dishonour your name and you dishonour yourself."

I would not take the scam and I wouldn't turn him in but I would talk to him about what he is doing.

RE: ETHICS - WOULD U CHEAT?

It depends on what the DNR rules say for there employees. If he is allowed to do it and it is procedure for the DNR to be allowed to do it then I would. Kinda like knowing someone in the NFL or other sports and they are allowed to hand out so many tickets to friends and family. But only if it is allowed to be done. But if he is doing it against the rules and breaking the law then I would not do it.

imgonna deny it if we get caught.......and then he's fired and im just an anxious hunter......Poor dumb bastard helping me out....i don't even like the guy, but i hang out with him cause he can get me the permits.......
i know i know i shouldn't be like that, but he usually shows up at the camp and drinks all my beer, eats half the food and passes out in the dirt.......then its up to me to get him cleaned up and on his way home.
hell, i deserve the permits.
