finding a hunting club

I am new to huntingnet and have a question, need advice, whatever. As a single female I am trying to get into a hunting club and would like to hear how I should best approach this. I am NOT looking for anything other than a place to hunt with good members and hunting standards. I don't know if there will be any problems with wifes or girlfriends of other members or not. If there are any women logged on I would greatly appreciate your input.

I guess it is safe to say that all hunting clubs have a personality of their own. One I am a member of I would guarantee there would be no problems, but others I have hunted with I couldn't say the same about. Contacting a few clubs, interview them and see if there are potential problems before you pay a membership. You don't have a friend or relative you could hunt in a club with do you? Hunting a day or two with a club to make sure you would didn't forsee problems would be the best approach. Welcome to the board. What state are you from?

I'd just call local clubs in your area and spell out your situation. You're not looking for a hook up, you're just looking for a place to hunt with other people who enjoy hunting. Ask whomever you speak with if there are any other women in the club and if they would be willing to talk with you before you join. Maybe even ask if you can attend a few meetings before you make your decision. The answers you get to these questions should tell you quite a lot.

I think if you approach it in this manner, you'll be able to find a club you like.
