Deer Permits Online

WOO HOO!!! I just completed my 2007 Illinois deer permit online. This is the easiest way to go. Gives you a transaction number for reference if you have any problems. Been doing this online since they offered it years ago. Anyone else applying online if your state offers purchases this way? It's going to a long 8 months

This will make my third season buying Ohio's online. Its easy and you print off your tag on your own printer. Works great and have no problems with it.

Your lucky you can print off your tag. Illinois still goes through the drawing process. Sux just cause you apply doesn't mean you'll get one.

What is the drawing for? Extra tags or just for one deer you have to be drawn?

In FL we have to wait untill June 1st to apply for Quota Permits and Doe Permits.
No tags in FL for bucks........Antler growth, 5" above hair line.

Edit: Correction, now we have Quota Permits on linefor General Gun as early as May 15th.:)

In Illinois you have the choice of either applying online, downloading or stopping by a DNR officefor a application, fill it out by hand and then mailing it in. They have a daily drawing then. The thing I like about the online option is I get the transaction number and I know they have my permit application. No chance of the US mail "loosing it". Bowhunting is different, you can by those at most places over the counter that sells sporting goods and they are good anywere in the state. Firearm permits are county specific. Firearmpermits are $15 good for 1 deer. I think the bowhunting tags are the same price, I don't bow hunt. Permits are usually sent to hunters sometime the first of July for the first season.
