Fishing for deer?

Fishing for deer?
Some buddies and I went bowfishing for carp a few weeks back, and one of the guys hauled in a decently rackedskull from a deer that died at the water's edge over the winter.
Not what we expected to find, but cool nonetheless.
We managed to bring in 48 carp too.

The funny thing about it is that the same guy found a second one later that night, but couldn't get it because it was pinned under a submerged fallen tree. He found one last year too, and I don't know anyone else who has found even one in the water. I want his luck.
We saw a huge beaver that night too (yeah you can bowfish after dark, you just need 3,000 watts of floodlight and a generator. No, really.).
The beaver wasthe size of a suitcase, and naturally the phrase of the evening was..."Did you see the size of that beaver?!", ...and it went downhill from there. We get a bit slap-happy after dark.
It wouldn't be any fun if all we did all night was shoot moving targets with scales. Well, actually it would, but we would be missing a few laughs.

I don't remember how big last year's was.
Not going to mount it, just thought it was a fairly unique find, or at least a unique way of finding it.
He gave me this head, and I'll keepit to show kids and new hunters.
Maybe do something with the antlers later on.

Animals that have shot (or even humans) are dehydrated.Theygo to the water to drink and most die there, that is why when you have shot a deer and cant find -- start looking around ponds and small streams.
