Hey Spike! How yu doin.Yes I shot himwith a Win. 101break-open. Shot him with an SSG at 70-80 yards.I had,nt seen a buck(or anything for that matter for 15 years straight but I hung in there anyways. Love the group hunt!!!!!!The dogger had already passed me andwent the other direction so I just moved a bit, sat down had a smoke and all of a sudden that buck comes in at the bottom of the gullyfrom the right. He must of seen us come in and bedded down.an hour later decided it was safe enough to move.I was at the top of the ridge and had to slowly walk along side ofhim without being seen.Man everytime he went behind a tree Iwent like crazy, crouched down and all.I had to go about 30 feet.Don't know why he did'nt look up.....Thank god he did'nt!!!!Crouched down and got a clear shot 70-80 yards.Great hit...He went about 100 yards at the most and piled up! I thought Ilost my heart out of my chest!!!!Well worth waiting for !!!!!! What a rush!!!Just when you think its over eh?Thanks forthe reply......By the way I guess I'm still the cook too.BLONDIE

Great buck, that is one heavy rack. From your story it sounds like your really earned him too, its great when you out stalk and out smart them. Its really nice to see women who love to hunt, we need more ladies in the outdoors. Congradulations.

Blondie congrats on a really nice large bodied buck, 15 years for the first, but when you got the first you sure did it with a bang, welcome to the board.
