Here's the one Cabela's sells, or you can buy it direct from the manufacturer. I have one, and it works great.

You guy's have more money than I do. Just cut the dang thing in half. About three ribs up and all you need is a knife.

as well, they come out of the bush a whole lot easier in 2 pieces.

I got tired of lugging deer up the tailgate by myself soI build basically a ladder and it works JFL. I simply strap the deer to the "loader" with cam straps, pick up the front, set it on the end gate, then pick up the rear and slide into the truck bed. I use it in many trucks with same results

Picture is usually worth a thousand words but this one is worthless than a100(Paint drawing)but should givesthe idea.

I have a large truck with a 6" lift and 44" tires, It is no easy feet getting a deer up in it, so I use a pr of atv ramps and I attached a 12v winch to the front of the bedto winch it up in there. Atv ramps cost $89.00 & winch cost $79.99 at Harbour Freight..Well below the cost of 2 months at the doctor and missed work if I wrench my back totting a 200# buck up in to my truck bed..

Tie it to the bumper and drag it home...

By the time you get there, you'll be able to pick it right up and throw it in the back!

Won't that wreck the back straps?

On a Chevy it would probobly wreck the bumper or even the whole truck!

My buddy has a simple device called a deer handle. Simply a piece of rope you hook around the neck with a handle. Cost him $10 or so, and with little work he pulled a big doe into his truck. Much easier than lifting just to pull it in. Not sure the weight on his though (probably 150 or so?) and not sure on the weight rating on this thing. Well worth the $10 to save on the lifting and getting blood all over yourself.

Actually you could probably construct your own with about 10 feet of rope and maybe some strong PVC to run the rope through?
