RE: the good bad and ugly of shed hunting
ORIGINAL: uncle matt Well there's alot to be grateful for. 1. Spending time out with your fiance. 2. Being in the great outdoors. 3. Finding some nice sheds. But I wouldn't jump and think you might have trespassers and/or poachers. The deer you found could have been shot who knows where - they just finally laid down and died where you found them. We've found the same. And congrats on the upcoming knot tying. and i dont know if there were poachers or not but i just hate to see a good buck wasted because of poorshot placement or bad tracking no matter who shot them. also to rebel hog. thisbigger buck i actually passed on durring bow season because i couldnt get a clear enough shot on him. i couldnt sleep all night because i wasthinking about it..lol. im still stoked to see all the nice sheds we found and know there are planty that big and bigger on our farm still.. there is a nine point thatwould score easily 180'slastyear. those were the sheds i was hoping to find. but i have seen him around after bow season so he should be fine.(i hope:D). do any of you know a good way to get all the skin off that buck headwith out placing it where the mice will eat the rack? |
