i wouldnt gut one in the woods.. unless i wasnt goin to hunt there for a long time and it was hot outside and i wanted to hunt all day some more.. OTHERWISE.. i do NOT gut them period.. hang em up by back legs.. skin em out.. take off front legs.. tenderloinds and hind quarters.. throw the rest away

I usually never gut the deer, I prefer to skin them back at camp. It is almost mess-free, quick, and produces nice meat. All you need is a cooler, and your job is done!

I'm lazy and get my deer processed. The place I take it prefers that the deer is ungutted for some reason so far be it from me to put in the extra effort!

I GUT MINE RIGHT AWAY, PROBABLY BECAUSE OF TRADITION....BUT NON THE LESS, I FIND IT EASIER TO DRAG WITH THE ENTRAILS OUT...JUST MY OPINION....
