I ussualy Load him on the quad and bring him back to the cabin where we have a "cleaning area". We have an outdoor light hooked up so at night we can see what we 're doin and also a big hole for the guts

Get them opened up asap. Most gutpiles will be gobbled up in 48 hrs. tops around here. No use dragging the guts around with you.

I haven't gutted a deer in years, but I am cleaning my deer within 30 minutes of the shot. I hang, skin, and debone with the guts still in the body cavity, and I DO GET THE TENDERLOINS.

As soon as I'm sure it's dead. I've been known to walk over to the carcass slappin on the latex gloves and flipping out my folder in the process. Clean them out quickly, neatly and efficiently and get em cooling asap.

ive always gutted them right when i found them. i see no reason not to.

Most times I'll clean them right where they drop.If I drive to the top of the mountain,I'll clean it when I get it back to the cabin

I gut them as soon as I can and then Igo to the nearest convenience store and buy 3 or four Ice Bags to place in the cavity. Now if the weather is Cold (below 30*), I try to keep the cavity opened with some sticks or branches without the Ice hung in Camp, but covered with a Game Bag.

I gut my deer right where I find it in the woods , take the heart and liver and put them in a plastic resealable bag then take it home.
My wife and I like to eat the liver the very next day after soaking all night and afriend of mine likes to eat the heart so I save that for him.
I'll butcher my deer within a couple of days of hanging in the garage and pack it then put in the freezer for meals later on.
