RE: Antler trap
A fellow told me a couple of years ago that he threw shelled corn in thickets like plum bushes and along hog wire fences and they knocked them off getting the corn.

Try a 5 gallon bucket with corn in it. [/align] |

I've been interested in this setup but have never tried it! If anyone does let us know how it does?

RE: Antler trap
I would think that you would need to train the deer to eat out of a bucket for a couple of months to get them to stick their head in there. Throw you some corn in and around athicket of bushes. Same theory and $75 cheaper.

THis guy lives about 15 minutes from me and the word around town is that it really works well. The deer don't have any problems finding the corn in the bucket.

Same theory and $75 cheaper. Yeah i think thats a bit steep myself but i dont believe it would be very hard to make at least thats what i would try to do! |
RE: Antler trap
I think I know what your talking about your have to build a feeder out of wood with a roof. Then simply put some wire around the beams connecting to the little roof. The deer sticks his head into eat some corn. Pulls out horns come off. I have never seen or heard of this hurting any deer. Wish I had a picture of it. It's hard to put in words.
