My 2007 buck
 

Here's my buck a 9 point from this year it was very special to me my 5 year old son was with me. He love to go hunting he missed a nice 8 point and killed a doe.

My bad he was killed thanksgiving day 2006 in pendleton county wv. I just became a member and decided to post him. Anyway heres my little boy with a doe he killed last year.

when you can hold a gun up usually around 2 haha thats when i bought his lifetime hunting and fishing lisecense. I have never read anything on a age limit for hunting in wv. Youdon't need to puchase license,until your 15 Under 15 hunts and fishes free for most animals (you would still need a doe stamp if not a landowner). We have youth hunting days you must be at least 8 to hunt these days because you have to be 8 to take hunters safety classes in order to buy yourstamps. But in regular season landowners and the children do not need a licesene or stamps. Anyway he was with me in a ground blind I had the gun the whole time up until the shot.We also were on our own hunting land. We have shot a lot together and I felt comfortable he could and wanted to shot a deer.

Congrats! I give you major props for bringing out your son also! alota people i know don't take their kids out cause they are too noisy or too impatient or too talkative. Its all about spending that frosty saturday morning together in the woods and sharing memories which will hopefully last for a lifetime!
