Scope Question

I'm almost embarrased to ask this question because I should have had my act together a little better. First of all this is the first year I've hunted with a scope. I have a 3x9 and sighted it in on the highest setting. I'm going to be hunting in some thick stuff and want to dial it down a bit. Will dialing it down throw off the accuracy? I know I should have thought of that when I was sighting it in but sighting in was a fiasco in itself so I didn't even think of it. Any help is appreciated.

RE: Scope Question

With a quality scope this will not be a problem.I have however seen a tasco that changed point of impact 3" at 100 yards when using different power settings.

RE: Scope Question

Thanks for a quick reply. It's a saddle mount so maybe I'll be better off using the bead if it's too close.

RE: Scope Question

Most scopes wont change the point of impact much..if any! If it changes 1&quot; or 2&quot; at 100 yards is a lot. Trust your scope..modern scopes are made just for long range and short, thick cover hunting, even Tasco...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
