Default Ratio of Bucks to Does?

My boys and I just bought a small place (100 acrs) near Rocksprings, TX. We are just learing the ranch, but have seen 9 bucks and 1 doe. Of course, that's not a bad thing...but What is the "ratio" recommended by "experts?" Thanks for any thoughts.

1:1 is the perfect ratio. You don't want the bucks to have too leave the area to breed does.

My guess is that your ratio is not as bad as you think. How old are the bucks? I say take a few of them bucks!

I've always heard that 2:1, two bucks to one doe is the ideal ratio. Around my house it's like...1:5, way outta whack. That's why I usually try to take a few does every year. I'm not sure, that many bucks and not enough does may cause some type of malnutrition or something...
