African widow scam from Net
 

When I came on Huntingnet the other day I was told that I have a message waiting in my inbox. Well after finding it, It was from a African woman who states that she wanted to deposit 14.5 million in my account, she states that she recived information from Huntingnet that I am a trustworthy, outstanding citizen ect, ect. I have heard of these scams, but the thing that gets me is that she came into this board to recive info ect. Everybody just be on the lookout for this. It is a SCAM, and Im sure huntingnet has nothing to do with this. Just thought you all should know. Im going hunting, see ya.

Delete this trash immediately and do not respond.

I owrk at JPMorgan in NYC and get at least 2 a week. It's all crap.

That thing has been around for years. I still see 2 or 3 a month as a network admin. I remember when that same senario would come via fax, before email was widely used.

I had a similar thing happen also, but it was on another web site. A person had come into a large fortune, SOMEHOW found my name and thought I was honorable, trustworthy, yadda yadda yadda ... and did not know what to do with all this money. But if I would open an account for them in MY bank, they would give me a large percentage. I figured that if I opened an account for ANOTHER person, and they DID NOT deposit money but instead took out a LARGE LOAN and then closed that account, who would be responsible? Me, that's who. Yep, another scam.
